The Oregon Marshallese Community Association, established in April 2019, is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 registered public charity and community advocacy organization for citizens from the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and their descendants, residing in the State of Oregon.
Mission
To Assist our community in terms of Education, Health, and Social Services. Promote the Cultural Values, traditions, and history of the Marshallese People to facilitate intercultural dialogue to foster positive social change.
Our Opportunities and Events include:
OMCA May Day Event (Marshallese Constitution Day), held on Memorial Day weekend every year. Celebration of the Marshallese Constitution, Culture, and People
Nuclear Legacy & Climate Change Awareness
Back to school support for the Marshallese community.
Assistance with various applications, including FAFSA and college enrollment/scholarships.
We offer programming support specifically for Marshallese Youth and Women (Health & Wellness)
Promote and Provide information to the general population about the Marshallese culture and community.
Community Sporting Activities to promote Unity for our Youth.
Platform for information sharing through our social media, Television Program, and soon to be announced radio program.
